Bebe Tracker: Eight Months!

This girl is a trouble maker! She takes huge strides while crawling and loves to walk around while holding onto the couch, our hands (or legs), anything she can reach. She tries to pull herself up with anything, including unstable things like bar stools and big cardboard boxes.

Her top teeth are coming in and they look so HUGE in her little mouth! And she might have a gap... We shall see. She's been doing this horrible grinding thing (she has her bottom teeth already), so when I hear her doing it I shove my finger in her mouth and make a lot of noise to scare her. Ha! She finally likes the Sophie giraffe toy that all other kids seemed to love while teething. She also doesn't take a pacifier except sometimes she'll chew on it. 

She hates baby food now. I think she only liked it before because she wanted to be like us and eat from a spoon, but she figured out that we're not eating that. Or it's just gross. Haha. On the upside, she LOVES poi! Hawaiian, das why. I never thought I'd say it, but I am so grateful for poi haha. She eats so much of it that her poop is the same texture. Hahaha. I was worried it would constipate her to go from almost no solid foods to so much, but it hasn't been a problem. She can eat as much as her little heart desires. :) And it's great because I don't HAVE to nurse her if we're out and about and she's hungry. (No shame in feeding in public lol. Don't freak out on me. Just a hassle!)

She's the most curious little human and she's been so fussy since she's teething, but I love to watch her eyes light up when we show her something new and interesting. And you know what? She's still adorable when she's really upset and crying. Love that booger. 

She learned how to play peek-a-boo and hides her face behind blankets, cardboard, books, or even just her hands. She's still blowing raspberries but now she also opens her mouth into a grimace (teeth together, lips apart) and blows air and spit and makes a loud noise... I don't know what to call it or how else to describe it so sorry if that didn't make sense! She's also learning to wave but she doesn't quite know when to do it, so she mostly waves at home when we're not leaving. 😂 

We think she's going to have Ho'oulu's calves because mine are defined but long and she's starting to get little basketballs.

She is so loud and happy and fun to play with, even though she has her majorly cranky days (we blame those teeth!). I'm really sad that she's thinning out, getting taller, losing her rolls on rolls on rolls. Before we know it she's going to be leaving for college! Lol.
